What has been happening in the world of Open Access in the last week?

It’s been a bumper week here at the Open Access Button, with us announcing our collaboration with Cottage Labs on Button 2.0 and launch coordinator Chealsye guest-blogging for Biomed Central on building the Open Access Button.

India has stated that “every citizen of the country will have access to the contents of the National Electronic Library”.

The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) Bulletin has announced that it will go gold Open Access in 2016, upon the expiry of their contract with Wiley Blackwell. Their full back-catalogue will also be freely available.

Harvard’s Open Access repository of faculty-written papers has now amassed 3.4 million downloads since 2009.
